Flying to Rarotonga

There are flights from New Zealand to Rarotonga from major cities like Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The best route is to fly from Auckland (AKL) as it's the only airport that offers direct flights to the Cook Islands. If you're flying from Wellington, Christchurch, or New Plymouth, you'll usually have a stopover in Auckland. The best airline to fly with is Jetstar as it has the shortest commute time. The best time to go to Rarotonga is between May and September. You'll have picture-perfect island weather with temperatures hovering around 26°C. The only downside is that the island's high season falls between July and August.
