The Eiffel Tower is the most recognisable icon in all of France. As the tallest structure in Paris, it dominates the city’s skyline. You can spot the Eiffel Tower from several spots around the city, particularly along the Seine River. Make your way to the top of the Eiffel Tower either by climbing up or catching the lift. From the top observation deck, you’ll be rewarded with an expansive view over the French capital. The Louvre

The Louvre is Paris’s most famous museum. The entrance is a large glass pyramid in the middle of a plaza that is almost as impressive as the collection of artwork inside. Palace of Versailles

Several day trips are within easy access of central Paris. The most popular is the Palace of Versaille, which is less than an hour from Paris on the train. The palace was the official residence of the French royal family from 1682 until the start of the French Revolution in 1789. Its most famous residents were Louis XVI and his opulent wife Marie Antoinette. Following the style of the time, the Palace of Versaille is elaborately designed. While visiting the Palace of Versailles, pay a visit to the Hall of Mirrors, the Gardens of Versailles, and the royal apartments that were once lived in by members of the royal family.
