Flying to Phuket
Phuket is home to one airport, which is the third busiest airport in Thailand. Phuket International Airport (HKT) is located 30 kilometres (18.6 miles) north of the city. The airport is the gateway to southern Thailand.

Phang Nga Bay
Surrounding the Phuket area are countless islands to explore. Northeast of the city is Phang Nga Bay, which makes for a great day trip from the city. Throughout the islands of Phang Nga Bay, you can see limestone cliffs emerging from the water and the famous James Bond Island. On the north end of Phang Nga Bay, pay a visit to the fishing village of Koh Panyi. It is a scenic floating village made up of houses on stilts.
Wat Chalong
All throughout Thailand, there are so many incredible temples to visit. Wat Chalong is the best-known temple in Phuket. Within the temple, there are several Buddhist artefacts, including a walking stick that is said to have healing powers and a piece of Buddha’s bone. Spend Time at the Beach
Phuket is made up of more than 30 beaches, making it an ocean-lover’s dream. Patong Beach is located near the centre of Phuket Town and has lots of nightlife close by. Karon Beach, Kata Beach, and Paradise Beach all offer quiet Phuket beach experiences. While they are serene, they are far from secluded, with plenty of restaurants close by.
