Millennium Cave

Millennium Cave is located just outside the town of Luganville. To reach this cave, you will need to hike through the jungle and across bamboo bridges. Once you arrive, you’ll be rewarded for your efforts with this incredible sight. The cave is 20 metres wide and 50 metres tall. You can climb down into the cave on a bamboo ladder and go for a swim in the cave’s large natural pool. The pool is surrounded by Vanuatu jungle and waterfalls, giving off a feeling of paradise.

Mount Yasur

If you are interested in visiting an active volcano, head to Mount Yasur on Tanna Island. You can hike up in about 45 minutes or book onto a guided 4x4 tour. Tours take you within 150 metres of the volcano’s rim, so you are able to get an amazing view of the volcanic activity. The volcano is at its most active right at the end of wet season, making tis a great time to visit Mount Yasur.

National Museum of Vanuatu
